Softball Sisters is a mentorship program led by Rye High School softball players dedicated to building meaningful connections with our young athletes in the Rye Girls Softball League. Through a mentorship lens, the program focuses on building confidence, resilience, and leadership as well as a culture of belonging. We believe that when younger players see older athletes competing with passion and love for the game, it inspires them to stay involved, grow their skills, and envision their own future in softball.
Softball Sisters was started by Rye High School student athletes and Rye Girls Softball players Olivia "Liv" Hodes and Gabriella "Gaby" McGuire.
Meet Olivia Hodes!

Hi! I’m Olivia Hodes and I’m a sophomore at Rye High School! I have been playing softball since 5th grade and currently play on the Rye High School varsity softball team. My favorite positions are left and right field! Outside of softball, I enjoy reading and going on walks with my dog Phoebe. I can’t wait to get to know the girls and show them why I love softball!
Meet Gabriella McGuire!

Hi! I’m Gaby McGuire and I’m a junior at Rye High School! I’ve been involved in the Rye Girls Softball community for over 7 years and currently play on the Rye High School varsity softball team. I started playing softball when I was 9 years old and my favorite positions are 3rd base and 1st base. When I’m not on the field, I love singing in my school acapella group and spending time with friends and family. I am so excited about the Softball Sisters program and the opportunity to help younger players build confidence, new skills, and share my love of the game!
The advisor for this group is Coach Amanda Yannett.
